Kurt Archer
Kurt is a seasoned community builder, event organizer, and communicator with 18+ years of experience in the non-profit sector. In 2022, he served as the Interim Executive Director at the Victoria Event Centre, followed by founding the Between Words Theatre Company and organizing the sold-out Victoria One Act Play Festival, uniting over 90 artists.
His event organizing expertise extends to working with notable groups like TEDxYYC, VIATEC, F*ckup Nights, Existence Project and more. Kurt, a white settler raised on Treaty 7 Territory near Tsuu T’ina Nation, now resides on unceded land belonging to the Lekwungan-speaking peoples also recognized as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations.

A Carleton University Political Science graduate, Kurt also coaches speakers and non-profits in crafting compelling narratives. He’s driven by his passion for the convergence of technology, reconciliation, climate, and the arts, which also fuels his Sci-Fi writing.
